As well as producing award winning Extra Virgin Rapeseed Oils, Dressings and Mayos, Wharfe Valley Farms also run a growing Contract Bottling business, designed for ‘like-minded entrepreneurs’.
As third generation farmers, the Kilby family is well versed in working with the natural ebb and flow of running a rural farming business, utilising their skills to get the most out of their operations.
“Contract Bottling complements our traditional Oils production, and we are able to schedule customers into our day- to- day workloads who have bottling and labelling needs, therefore utilising our down time. This is fast becoming a very exciting operation for us, and we are now looking to work with more businesses requiring outsourced bottling and packaging support” says Sallyann Kilby (MD).
The latest brand to put their faith In Wharfe Valley’s Contract Bottling expertise is Bax Botanics, based in Thorp Arch, Wetherby.
Chris and Rose Bax (the co- owners of the brand) have created a great tasting alcohol-free drink, using their experience and knowledge of creating recipes with plant flavours and other ingredients to inspire alcohol-free ‘spirits’.
“The planet, and sustainability, are massively important to us now and always have been. They are at the heart of what we believe in our home life and throughout our business.
We chose Wharfe Valley to bottle and label our products as, having met the team, discussed our unique requirements and inspected their processes and equipment, we felt very confident in their abilities to maintain our high-spec standards”, commented Chris & Rose.
Bax Botanics currently offer two products – Verbena and Sea Buckthorn. The classic, luxury bottle labels show rich patterns of microscopic plant cells and are printed on material derived from sugar cane waste, mirroring Chris and Rose’s belief in nature and sustainability – and giving the brand a high-end quality feel.
